Today the family gathered at 12:30 for a wonderful lunch, which included 6 Pavlovas which Belinda made last night. This is a first for Preece family here and some cousins hadn't seen each other for ages, some never. We were 43; only 8 were missing. Apparently this had been planned since May, but no one told me!!! There were even speeches! Some travelled over 400 kms. It was just wonderful. There were only two whom I had not me before and I did very well with all the names, only getting two wrong and that is because of serious resemblances. The weather cleared enough for us to be outside and we took a family photo which you see here. The three men in the photo are my father's three cousins, the sons of my great-uncle who emigrated here. It was great and I was able to spend time with just about everyone. By 6 pm, there was just a small group left sitting at the bar and planning a cruise for the next reunion. Well, we'll see. But it could happen. There is a lot of enthusiasm for it! An amazing day.
