Washington, DC

Another gorgeous day!  Sunday paper day!  Discussions of op-eds in NYTimes...in person!  Basically, a lazy day, mostly spent outside.  Dinner out at Beuchert's Saloon, a local restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue serving the "American farm experience."  A nice walk across Lincoln Park and beyond.  We had a wonderful meal in what was an old saloon...great ambiance.  Wonderful Pandora music..all soul and RandB...kinda like being in New Orleans!  I had a delicious butter lettuce salad, John and Ben had the grilled ramps.  John and I had the most delicious hamburgers with everything..white cheddar, bacon and a fried egg!  Yes, a fried egg.  The meat was superb.  Ben had Carolina trout.  And of course, we had fries!  A good trot back home in time for Mr. Selfridge....and so to bed, exhausted!
